The Association of Embryo Technologies in Europe (AETE; www.aete.eu) has taken the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 physical annual AETE conference in Dublin as a consequence of the continuing uncertainty arising from the global COVID-19 situation. However, work has not stopped and there remains a continuous need for up-to-date scientific and practical knowledge. As a result, the AETE board has decided to organize a series of five webinars to discuss the latest developments in embryo technologies. The 1.5 hour webinars will be held between September and November. Three webinars will comprise one interactive lecture followed by live discussion with the audience. In September, we will hold two webinars that focus on the short oral presentations, selected from abstracts from our research community.
A major purpose of these webinars is to facilitate contact with our sponsors and with European institutions and bodies that regularly work together with AETE. In this context, the AETE is especially reaching out to national embryo transfer societies all over Europe to stimulate their members to participate.
Here, AETE invites national societies in embryo technologies to apply and to join us in hosting one of our AETE webinars. We invite you to propose an interesting speaker (or a series of speakers) covering a hot and relevant topic, attractive for both practitioners and scientists in the field. We ask you to submit your ideas and proposals no later than 1st of May 2021. Go to this LINK to fill in a short form. Final selection of the topics will be made by the AETE board in a blinded way, using topic relevance and speaker as the most important selection criteria. The final webinar program will be communicated during the second half of May.
A last important note: participation to the webinars is FREE and open to everybody (members and non-members)after registration. The technical part will be covered by the AETE. All webinars will be in English.
