Dear members of the AETE, In Europe, as in the rest of the world, we are facing challenging times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On April 22, the board of the AETE met to discuss our annual scientific conference scheduled to be held in Dublin, and chaired by Prof Patrick Lonergan and his Local Organising Committee. The AETE board is taking the current COVID-19 situation very seriously and we will continue to closely monitor the situation and issue regular updates to our members. There are currently no plans to postpone or cancel the AETE meeting on 2020. However, the Board of the AETE are meeting regularly to discuss this fast paced situation and will make a decision about the meeting by April 22. Fresh from the outstanding meeting in Murcia, the Board of the AETE are working hard to prepare for our next gathering in Dublin in 2020. Invitations for our Keynote speakers have gone out, and we have had overwhelmingly positive responses from those whom we have invited. We are also really very happy that our proposed Pioneer Awardee has been confirmed. Over the coming weeks, we will announce the speakers one by one - so keep checking back for more updates! RS
