Invitation to Rennes
Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to invite you to join us for the 42nd AETE meeting, which will take place in the historic, beautiful, and pleasant city of Rennes, France, from September 2nd to 4th, 2026. After our wonderful time in Cork, we look forward to seeing you in Brittany, in western France.
Only 1h25 from Paris by TGV and well connected to major French and European cities, Rennes offers easy access thanks to its airport, located very close to the city center. Renowned for its quality of life, economic dynamist, and exceptional environment, Rennes regularly tops the ranking of the best cities to live in. As a green and committed city, it combines lifestyle, creativity, and sustainable innovation.
In Rennes, everything can be reached on foot or by public transport (bus and metro). The historic center, shops, parks, and the Couvent des Jacobins – where your congress will be held - are all within short walking distances and easily accessible. Rennes’ diverse and welcoming hotel sector offers more than 4,000 adapted to all needs. The gala dinner will be held in a restored 19th century castle, Château d’Apigné, a gastronomic restaurant and hotel located near Rennes. As the cultural capital of Brittany, Rennes invites you to discover its rich heritage, vibrant street art, gastronomy, and lively festivals. It is the ideal destination to combine work, meetings, and the pleasure of exploration.
Two preconferences are planned on the 2nd of September. One on equine reproduction with a plenary part and practical wetlabs on ART. The other one, on bovine reproduction giving the first registered members the opportunity to visit the modern SYNETICS facilities for bovine embryo production and to participate in various interactive sessions related to in vitro embryo production. A post conference excursion will be proposed to visit the magnificent Mont Saint-Michel, an UNESCO World heritage site, and the beautiful walled city of Saint-Malo.
As usual, the AETE board will offer a rich program featuring excellent scientific content, practical workshops, and engaging cultural exchanges. More details will be provided as the event approaches, but for now, please save the date for an unforgettable experience in Brittany, France.
